It never occurred to me to send my kids to preschool because I stayed at home to take care of them but I have British friends who find it strange how so many kids in America don’t go to preschool or only attend when they’re 4 years old instead of starting when they’re 2-3. Apparently preschool is a big thing in Europe, even with non-working parents. Do you think preschool is important or do you think it’s easily replicated at home with learning activities and lots of social time at the park etc with other kids their age?
Yes my kids go to preschool. Partly because I needed them out of my hair! Haha just kidding but with twins it is a lot to handle 24/7 so preschool gives me a break and I feel it does them some good to socialize with other kids in a school environment before they start real school.
No, and I’m regretting that now. I wonder if maybe it would’ve given him a boost if he had started prechool at 3 , maybe it would’ve then been easier for him to handle his early school years and he would have had a better head start.
