As long as she’s not taking like AP classes I think it’s probably possible to be in high school and have a job but this would depend on the student and how well they organize their time, how much of a social life they have, etc.
Sacrifices would have to be made somewhere though and, while I don’t know your daughter, most teens are pretty lazy and eventually decide the job isn’t worth the money. I don’t think I’d like my kids working while in school…but for this reason alone I’d be tempted to let them try it if they kept on about it, and then they would probably see it’s not as easy as they thought. I know my kids value their free time and complain about homework and chores. But they are not the most organized.
